How we roll....

Around here:

We love
Spiderman movies and toy cars......

We buy any and all Super hero action figures, band aids, and vitamins....

We idolize our daddy and want to grow up to be just like him, tax law and all.....

We build forts, lock ourselves in closets, and wrestle boy do we wrestle.....

We build race tracks on everything......

I live in a household full of boys, were all bodily noises are funny the louder the better...
They track mud in on a daily basis.....
We examine potato bugs, flies, and spiders.....
We animal roar at the top of our lungs.....
We fly off couches, beds, chairs....just to see if by chance we have turned into Spiderman overnight.....

So my question is how oh how will a sweet, innocent, charming, delicate baby girl fit into this mix, is she destined for a life of boyish notions following after her two brothers or will she bring some calmness and peace to this household? Just a thought that is on my mind lately.....

Turkey, Turkey, Turkey!!!

Thanksgiving 2009 everyone looks so overjoyed to be taking another family picture!! My kids run screaming from me every time they see me coming near with a camera. It's practically an extension of my arm you would think they would be used to it by now.

Love this boy, he is usually willing to come take a picture, especially when a promise of a pickle is involved...

We spent the day at Eric's parents house for Thanksgiving this year. The food was delicious, good company what else could you ask for on Thanksgiving.

My boys all enjoying their food, the only time Luke was willing to smile for a picture was when food was involved, big surprise for all of you who know Luke. Thanksgiving is his best holiday, a day devoted to eating unfortunately he doesn't understand the giving thanks part yet.

This was my highlight of the day Eric volunteering to wash all the china, it's the family joke when we go to his mom's for dinner that the only plate left out usually belongs to Eric. He is horrible at doing his own dishes. I think his brother had the best reaction when he walked in to see Eric elbow deep in suds I thought his eyes were going to bug right out of his head, so funny and so very unlike Eric.

After dinner we did the usual, watch football, movies for the kids, wade through all the Black Friday ads, make a game plan for which stores to hit today, take an after turkey nap (okay I was the only one that did that, pregnant and turkey not a good mix).

I went up to my aunt's house for awhile who lives just up the street from Eric's parents house and visited with them for awhile. My cousin's cousin was there visiting who has a tendency for preterm labor like myself it was great fun discussing progesterone shots, steroids, bed rest and all else involved with difficult pregnancies. She got me really excited for my progesterone shots that begin weekly starting Tuesday. Oh thank goodness these babies are worth it times ten!!

Great Thanksgiving day, now time to hit the stores or maybe not since it's 11 am and all of the good stuff is taken I am sure. I just can't find the motivation for those 5 am lines, I like my sleep to much.

Star of the Month ** Katelynn**

It's been awhile since we have done a star of the month around here, so I guess it's baby girl's turn.

Name: Katelynn Smith

We have decided on a name for our cute baby girl Katelynn it is. Seems my kids always have a story or a reason behind the name we choose for them. Miss Katelynn has been no exception, here is the story behind her name. I have always loved the name Kate for a little girl, I think it is such a beautiful name just rolls right off your tongue. However we were unsure about the name Kate Smith, it is quite, how can I say this nicely, boring. Our next problem was I wanted the middle name Lynn for my first daughter after myself since my name is Jennifer Lynn. However Eric doesn't want a middle name for her so she can keep Smith as a middle name when she gets married. Plus if we name her Kate Lynn Smith well that just sounds like Katelyn Smith. So problem solved we combined Kate with Lynn and you get Katelynn. It's funny how with every time we have picked a name for our children it just clicks all of a sudden. The day we decided on Katelynn I think Eric and I called each other 50 times saying "yup that's the one, it just sounds so right". So Katelynn she will be... Age: 20 weeks (gestational, of course, look at my acrobat her feet are above her head)

We had our "official" Target ultrasound today, I say official because technically we already had that a month ago. But it was nice to see that she is still perfect in every way and still a girl for that matter. Both of us are doing great, I can't tell you what a relief it was to get past week 18. That was when my water broke with Luke and let me tell you I hardly dared sneeze that week. Which is silly because nobody says week 18 is the week to watch out for but for some reason getting past it just does something for my nerves. It felt like a turning point, at this point with Luke I was on bed rest. It has to be a good sign that all will continue to go well, at least I am taking it as one. I am now 20 weeks and on the downhill side of the pregnancy that feels so good!

Likes: I know for sure one thing this girl likes oranges and hot chocolate. Like clockwork every night I sit down to eat an orange and have a cup of hot chocolate and ten minutes later look who is awake and dancing around, must be all that sugar. We have a really enjoyable hour together while she flips and kicks and taps my tummy saying hello. Is there a greater feeling I think not, those movements are magic and can sometimes bring tears to my eyes. How can you possibly love someone so much without ever having laid eyes on them yet.
Love this picture it was taken about a week ago, I have been feeling her kick around for awhile now but this was the first night her movements were strong enough for her daddy to feel. Both of the boys were already in bed, it was a sweet bonding moment for us alone with our Katelynn. My goodness we love you baby girl!

Whirlwind Weekend....

Crazy busy weekend take a look!!

Friday night went and saw New Moon with the girls, here is my thoughts:

--loved, loved, LOVED IT! I loved Twilight because it was just magic seeing the books you love brought to life. But after giving it a years time I can see there was some definite flaws in it, major cheesy and awkward at times. But New Moon was a whole different story, it was perfect. I can't imagine loving it any better, great job new director (can't think of his name).

--Oh Jacob he made this movie, he was brilliant. It was just like the books for me after those first few chapters you can't imagine possibly liking the rest of it without Edward but then Jacob sneaks in there and you can't help but fall in love with him. I could go on and on about how great I thought he was. The chemistry between him and Bella was just fantastic, oh I loved him!

--I was slightly disappointed with Edward in this film, but it's hard to say for sure because they stayed true to the books and he was not in it a whole lot as it should be it was Jacob's turn to shine. But the scenes he was in I just wasn't feeling it with him and Bella like I wanted to be. But I also think it's not a fair assessment because I keep comparing him to Stefan in Vampire Diaries who is quite possibly the best vampire out there, well I do love Damon too, but still poor Edward has kind of lost it for me. Well the movie Edward not book Edward, still love him!

--Volturi perfect!! Aro and Jane loved them just how I had imagined them to be.

--I missed the Cullen's, I know they shouldn't have been in it a whole lot but I still missed them. I loved the scenes when they are all there together, though Jasper please get a whole new look that hair is just awful. I like the wolf pack but didn't love them like I do the Cullen's. Though Sam and Emily were as cute as can be.

Now I just need to talk Eric into one more round with me at the theater and I can let is rest until June when Eclipse comes out. Anyone else shocked at how quickly they are getting Eclipse out June 30th that's not long at all.

Saturday Eric and I went to a Weber State football game, he got tickets from the Dean for the suites. I didn't know Weber had Suite seating but it was great fun. A buffet lunch, all the snacks you could want, warm seating on a cold day, hot chocolate, and a nap for the last quarter; who could ask for more. Though Eric tells me it's my last game he is taking me too next time he will invite his dad because I fell asleep but really could you blame me? Late night, hot chocolate, warm sun hitting me and a lulling football game, who wouldn't fall asleep?

Next up we celebrated Elle Belle's first birthday.

Love you little girl!

Sunday we had a Thanksgiving feast at my grandparents house in Tremonton. I love this picture of my grandma it brings back a thousand memories of Sunday dinners at their house. Love you Grandma and Grandpa thanks for the wonderful dinner!

We ended the weekend with the boys having a late night swim in our master bath tub. Check out Luke's poor face he has a horrid cold his poor little nose is bright red from the billions of tissues we went through yesterday. And Lancey had another round with our lovely friend water bacteria, his stomach was giving him trouble yet again. They both said the big tub would cure all ailiments, so in they went for a little swim before bed.

Christmas Dress

Help!!

I want a new Christmas dress this year to match the boys Christmas church clothes. They will be wearing red and black, so naturally I need to be wearing the same colors. Which of these three dresses is your favorite and not screaming big fat tent, cause you all now how you are feeling like a cow anyway regardless of how cute your dress is.

Option 1 Gap maternity

I like this it is simple, elegant but then I think I would feel the need to go buy some cute shoes like those the model is wearing and black tights. Or would just black nylons, and black boots look okay, I also think a cute chunky red necklace would be darling.

Option 2 Shabby Apple Maternity

Love this, love the necklace, but Shabby Apple is kind of expensive do I really want to spend that much on a maternity dress, even if every Sunday I give myself a pounding headache trying to decide what in the world I should wear to church.

Option 3 Shabby Apple Maternity
I love the bright red color but I am hesitant about the bow, I think some people could really pull that look off but I am afraid I would feel like a big gift wrapped present all day. But then this one is the most Christmasy to me and would match my boys so cute. All we would need is a red tie for Eric and we are good to go.

Okay vote what's your favorite?

Trim the Tree

First off the ornaments the boys picked out this year, thanks to a handy glue gun, they were fixable after the unfortunate luck of being handled by my boys....

Luke chose Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Lance chose Captain America

Decorating the tree!!

We trimmed the tree last night, I like to make it out as a family affair but really after the kids have had their fun hanging their ornaments in "special spots" such as hidden from view, or in the very back of the tree. Well mommy finishes it up when they are asleep later on that night, right? I am not the only one that does this, please tell me the next day they magically appear in a different spot on the tree in your house too?

And now I am tired, it's hard work getting all that Christmas up, time to focus on things I have let slide such as laundry and housework....

ps. Don't mind Lance's outfit, we had an incident earlier on in the day involving one sick boy and Instacare, whatever you do don't let your kids drink bad water if you can at all help it. It has been a long month fighting this junk off for the little guy.

"Deck The Halls"

We "Decked The Halls" of this house last week with garland, lights, snowmen and Santa's. The only thing left to do is decorate the tree which will be taken care of tomorrow night as a family. Tell me am I crazy, anybody else out there have there Christmas up yet?

Maybe I am crazy but there is nothing more joyful to me than a house at Christmastime, the lights completely mesmerize me. And my little Christmas Village, take special notice of that in the very first picture. I started collecting pieces for that village my Junior year in High School, in fact for my senior graduation present I wanted village pieces, yep I am definitely crazy.

But I sit in front of that village every day imagining a little life inside of it. It's happy, peaceful, bright and safe I just love imagining a world in it. See the little house on the second row on the left that would be my house, that's where I would live. Okay I shouldn't be admitting just how nuts I am about my village, but boy do I love it!
