February Instagram

The little moments of February.....

A classic Charlotte's Web.

Granny got herself a new car and little K likes kisses!

Snuggling a sickie....

Mmmmm.....yup she's delightful!

Every Saturday they build....

The Monster Concert at USU can't wait to hear him play!  He's nervous this place is packed!

Before we started this Sunday.

Ended Sunday just how I started.  Man I love this little sweet pea.

A little late night baking.

Valentine's party at dance class this morning.  Just in case you thought I always have my act together I don't.  Totally forgot her Valentines to share.  Not just at home, but like we didn't do any.  At all.  Good job mom.

Pretty late afternoon sky.....

Hi there little one.

Valentining....

No school for us tomorrow, so they are partying today!

Rarely can I talk their dad into a movie but I can always talk these three into one.

Did you lose something?

Stole this boy and Art away for a quick lunch.  He thinks it's cause he's a lot special and Lance is only a little special.  He doesn't realize Lance and I did this last week.

Keep it up mother nature!

"Did you have a good sleep?", said in the highest pitch possible.

Sick baby nights are hard on us all....wishing I could join her for a 9 am nap.

Celebrating that it's Friday, I have a girls night, I'm eight pounds away from pre baby.....but shoot I'm mourning the fact that my hair is literally all over my bathroom floor, oh and the sink and certainly the shower.

Around the Sunday dinner table....

Nursing in the car....happens all the time.  One of us is grumpy!

Thanks Eric for snapping a picture of me in a rousing tug of war game against the scouts.  I always bring my game face!

Little loves....my heart might burst!

Her first and only love...

Back on Valentine's Day someone received a very special gift from a very special man.

Little K daddy and I both are not naive enough to think he will always be the only boy to send you flowers.
Look at your beauty, there will be scores of suitors I am sure.
All we ask is find one that will treat you like the lady that you are.
Find one that will cherish you for always.
Find one that will hold the door, and hold your hand and hold your heart.
If you get lost along the way and not sure if he is the one....hold him to the standard of your daddy.

He knows how to treat the ladies in his life like the queens that we are.

Ten on Ten: March 2014

Whew when 10 on 10 falls on Monday I always want to pat myself on the back for managing to get it done and make it through manic Monday.
With a birthday party, grocery shopping and your typical get your life back in order after a busy weekend, and daylight savings all in one day.
It was a doozy but a good doozy, felt very productive but managed to have some fun to.

Started out the morning with a date to the fun park with my girlies to attend a birthday party of one of K's little buddies.
It was a great morning spent with them and fun friends.  Plus cupcakes on a Monday are always a good thing:)

After a quick stop at McDonald's for a kids meal for K and a diet coke for me we ran back home for a few hours to get some stuff done.
I made the grocery list, did some laundry.
Caroline napped.
And K made a giant puzzle soup all over my freshly shampooed carpets.

On my way out to pick up the boys from school I noticed the early signs of buds on our tree out front.
Spring is a coming!

Granny came over to watch the kids while I ran and did the grocery shopping for the week.
She always brings them treats and today was no exception.
Big giant sugar cookies from Old Grist Mill with green sprinkles in honor of St. Patrick's day coming up next week.

Left the youngest three home with Granny and took this guy with me to the store.
He is the best little helper and I just enjoy his eight year old company.
Not to mention he reminds me so much of me at this age.
Ten minutes in the car is just enough to squeeze a chapter in.
Not to mention he has read Diary of a Wimpy Kid series about ten times now.
I ready my favorite Babysitters Club books over and over and over again.

Got home and settled all in for the night.
Happy mail day, I ordered me a new Spring nightlight cover and it arrived in the mail and pretty much made my day.
Also not seen is the new pineapple mango candle I bought that smells like I need to be on a Hawaiian vacation.

Miss Caroline kept distracting the boys during homework time with her big old I love you smiles.

An hour later we managed to get all the homework and piano practicing done.
Luke is just starting into chapter books.
His current favorite is The Magic Treehouse series.

Picked up a rotisserie chicken from the store and made the most delicious new recipe with it for dinner.
Only took about fifteen minutes to have it on the table.
And it was so fresh and fabulous tasting.
Easy chicken tostadas we will definitely be making you again!

We ended the night with FHE.
Eric usually works late on Monday's but it's Spring Break this week so we all loved having him home tonight.
We had a quick lesson out of the Friend magazine and topped the night off with our first debut of strawberry shortcake this season.

Happy tenth!

4 Months Old

Shoot a third of the way through her first year.

Part of me is so so sad especially knowing she is our last little baby.
I want to cry at every tiny little outfit that goes into a storage box, every time her tiny little body feels a little heavier in my arms I get a sharp pain reminding myself to savor this moment.  Oh how time goes so fast and yet so slow at the same time.

I will admit every time we leave Walmart with a crying baby in my arms trying to drag the heavy cart and a whining Katelynn behind me I get a little smile thinking this part is coming to an end.  Or after a particularly bad night when Eric and I look at each other with this face like "man we are too old for this business."

Just the other day I was sitting at the Walmart pharmacy for some reason my fluoride order had to be refilled and wasn't ready when I got there to pick it up.  So I was waiting we had already had a busy morning at dance and a few other errands this was our last stop.  Caroline was grumpy and needing a nap, K was determined now was the most perfect time to show me her somersaults she had been working on in dance class.  I was frazzled, irritated and counting down the minutes until I could hightail it out of there.  I am sitting there waiting on the bench and this older gentleman comes and asks me if I am in line for the pharmacy.  I told him no I was just waiting and he could go right on ahead.  Sort of lost track of him and the next thing I know he comes walking towards me with a small sack of candy, he smiles and winks at me saying "thought this might help with the wait, that sure is some beautiful daughters you have there."

Shoot it melted my heart.
People are good amd so very kind, K was thrilled with her candy, my mommy heart burst with her quiet thank you and the joy on this mans face as he looked at my girls in their little fountain of youth made me stop right there and then thanking the lord for these days were these little people are clamoring for my love and attention.  Not just anybody's love but their Mommy's love.

So blessed, it's going so fast, how I love my babies.

So little Caroline at 4 four months.....

I feel like majority of the time when her siblings are around she has this same look on her face.
It says these people are crazy, can't believe I am related to them.
But oh man are they good to her.
I love in the mornings when my early riser Lance wakes at 6:30 and I am just not quite ready to face the day yet if he hears Caroline awake before 7 am and I am still in bed he just goes to her room gets her out of her crib, shuts the door so K will still sleep and takes her on downstairs with him to watch cartoons.
I  mean really what 8 year old does this, I love him.
I love watching him care for his little sister in such a tender way.

Sleeping has still been pretty good.
The poor baby has been slammed with two colds this month, pretty much back to back.
She gets very congested so instead of waking once a night it's back to two times a night.
Bless her heart she needs to get rid of these colds it breaks my heart for her.
It seems she usually wakes around 1 and again around 4 or 5.
Not bad I'll take it.

Shoot the bumbo I am so grateful for it.
She spends every meal time in that thing watching me prepare, eat and cleanup after her family.
Such a good girl.
We had her four month appointment last week and stupid me can't remember her stats.
I believe she was around 50% in both height and weight but I could be wrong.
Smaller than her other siblings, my other kids have always been tall and skinny.
She seems to be average and skinny:)
He mentioned we can try out rice cereal anytime.
Haven't yet, maybe next week I am curious to see if it will help her cut out a night feeding but that never seemed to phase my other kids so I am not really holding my breath on that one.

I love her soft fuzzy teddy bear hair.
Most people comment on it, it really is so fuzzy and if it is freshly washed it just stands straight out like a little fur ball.
Thankfully it's very even around her head, no bald spots and still pretty short.
So it just looks puffy all the time and smells oh so good.

Love catching smiles out of this little lady, she is by far my most somber child.
Her smiles don't come as often as the other kids did.
She seems in general to be more meek and submissive.
Not very vocal, coos every now and then but really is very quiet and takes in the world around her.
I am curious to see if this personality trait will continue as she gets older.

Love that miss K is so anxious for her sister to grow up and play with her.
The other day Katelynn's imaginary princess friends were all coming over for Belle's birthday ice skating party.
She had both her and Caroline all dolled up waiting for those princesses to arrive.
Oh to be in K's head for a day, that girl is funny.

And we are still loving on her binki.
My boys never liked one, and K did until she was six months old then one day she spit it out and would never take it again.  So I am curious to see if her binki loving self will last.  Part of me hopes it does but then I have never had to wean a kid from a binki so I guess that's a blessing.  Time will tell.
I do have to laugh when she hooks her little pinkie in there and pulls it from her mouth and then tries her hardest to get it back in there.
Momma usually has to help her with that;)

Love you sweet Caroline, another beautiful month with our beautiful baby girl!
