Spring Soccer

Spring Soccer came and went just like that.
It was a little crazy here during those 8 weeks soccer was going.
With two boys taking this season we pretty much had soccer on a daily basis.
Monday Luke had practice.
Tuesday Lance had practice.
Wednesday we had games....usually at different times and always different fields.
Thursday Lance had an occasional game.
Friday we are free!
Saturday two different games at two different fields.
Whew....I am tired just remembering all the running around we did.

Sad to say out of those eight weeks I did not manage very many pictures of these two boys.
But boy did I enjoy watching their games.
This boy has really gotten to be good, I think he is going on his fifth season now and it amazes me how much improvement there has been since his very first season of soccer.
No more fear, oodles of aggression, and it just never gets old when he scores a goal.

I am sure I would embarrass him with my lack of soccer knowledge but my favorite thing is the way he jumps and manages that ball.
I am not even sure how to describe it, but it's just one of those things that leaves me smiling each time I say him take that ball down the field.

This scene also made me smile.
Luke will never be described as shy and timid.
No the kid is outspoken and friendly to all he meets.
I looked up one game to see him making friends with a group of little girls.
It was so cute I snuck a little closer to see what was being said.

At first I was as proud as can be hearing him explain his hearing aids to a very engaged crowd.
My pride quickly turned to horror when he yanked a hearing aid out of his ear and tried putting it one of the little girls ears saying "here try it out".
Thankfully the girls were as horrified as I was and shook their heads saying "no thank you."
And that was the end of that friendship.
Oh that kid.....

As for this monkey and his games I gotta say I am just not sure sports are his thing.
He spent most games doing one of three things.
1.  Swinging on the nets.
2.  Faking injuries for attention
3.  Chatting his coaches ear off.

Don't worry buddy your team is just down on the other end scoring a goal!

He did however love kicking the ball on in.
We had to laugh because during this particular game he backed up about a mile to get a running start.
Didn't really do him any good, pretty sure he missed entirely.

But there is something to be said for that smile never leaving his face.
He may play by his own rules but boy does he have fun doing it!

April Instagram

A look at April through my phone:

We go on a lot of lunch dates!

Time for a cold treat...and a little music on Spring Break!

Spring Break is hard when you are a little girl trying to keep up with your brothers all day!

Last day as a two year old!

Birthday shopping for the little sister!

Girls night (and kids) while dad is at priesthood.  Aunty Teri even brought cupcakes to sing happy birthday to little K!

He's the best!

Family Home Evening playing Skipbo.

Someone was really sad to have her Ashy leave...

Felt like a nice leisurely walk to pick up the boys from school.
Not!
The car wouldn't start --awesome!

I love this lady....I really do.
She is babysitting this pipsqueak all day while I run around doing all my errands in her car!

Oh date night, I am totally ready for you!
Jazz game and California Pizza Kitchen!

She rocks out to Ho Hey by The Lumineers every time!

This particular game is called Ironman and Spiderman save the princess...

He's the first one up every Sunday.  We hear the front door open, he collects the newspaper and spends the next half hour rummaging through it.

Spaghetti night....messy!

"You are my best friend mom"....melt me.  I love her.

Field trip to Baby Animal Days with Luke!

These two have the right idea for the day with a pajama party!

In the rain for today's soccer game, but Grandma is here!

See that little gap?
First lost tooth, way to go Lou!

Just your lazy Sunday at Grandma and Grandpa Williams on the porch swing.

First and last picture with my fellow baby on board sister.
Baby Boston is set to come on Tuesday!

Sucker Power!
Such dorks!

I let the boys run ahead home after church while I stayed behind for a bit.
I got home to this guy who had made lunch not only for himself but for Luke and K as well.
Love him!

Just kids climbing trees on a Sunday afternoon!

Mother's Day

Feeling kinda quiet today, so not much words but sometimes I love pictures even more.
Mother's Day was beautiful.
Beautiful weather...
Sweet gifts...
Lots of family time.
And a pretty special day at church for our family when Eric was sustained and set apart as a member of our bishopric.
I could not think of a greater gift than to know my partner in this whole parenting our little loves is first and foremost a man of God.
What a special day it was for me.
So grateful for my dear children and my dear husband.
Such tremendous blessings in my life....

Wonderful day.....

Third Birthday

Third birthday was over a month ago for little K but sadly I have been without
1.  motivation to blog
2.  time to blog
3.  a computer to blog.

A few weeks ago I sat down in my comfy chair, with my feet all propped up, a smoothie in my hand, ready to cry over my ever nauseated pregnant self.  I pulled my laptop from it's usual spot to join me with a little hulu to catch up on a few shows that Eric erased from our DVR (ooh so mad), I must have pulled a little too hard trying to get the cord free from the outlet in the wall.  Because it snapped right in half and that was the end of my laptop for at least a few weeks until the new replacement part came in the mail.

The break was nice, really nice.
But now I am behind, like really behind with pictures.

So a quick look at Miss K's 3rd birthday celebrations....
We always start the day out with a balloon surprise in the kids bedrooms.
I wanted pink and purple but when you send the husband to get the balloons you get orange and blue and a few yellows.
Oh well I'm over it.

Before the sun even comes up my kids are always up and wanting to open presents first thing in the morning.
And who am I to tell them no on their big celebration days.
I did manage to convince K and Lance to wait for Luke to wake up.
They were so nice to go jump all over his bed and "accidentally" wake him up.
Love this sweet little card Lancey made for K.

Waiting to tear into the presents....

Overjoyed for sure!

Helping her out for a quick ride indoors on her new bike.

Obviously the best thing about this bike is the ability to carry along a best baby or two.

And no she has yet to actually ride her bike......

Mostly you'll for her walking along beside taking her baby for a stroll.
Oh well all in good time I suppose.

For Miss K's birthday we decided to spend the afternoon at the Treehouse Museum.

3 hours later we definitely got our moneys worth out of the trip.

Eric had to head to Priesthood session of conference with his dads and brothers so me and the kids headed over to Teri's house for a girls night.
The kids played and had pizza.
Us girls had take out Olive Garden.

Teri bought the birthday girl mini cupcakes, after all she must blow up a few candles on her birthday.
Too bad this girl is terrified of fire.
So we just stick with unlit candles and the birthday song.

Then everybody is happy.
Mostly the birthday girl.

The next day we threw her a birthday party with all of the family coming over for dinner and strawberry shortcake.

Her cake; I wanted a plain vanilla cake with vanilla custard inside and whip cream frosting.
Good old Costco came through I had them write the happy birthday Katelynn on there.
Decorated it myself with a few princesses.
And then it was easy as pie to add some sliced strawberries to each piece.
She still got a cake and I got strawberry shortcake....again everybody happy!

Snitching a bite.

Blowing out the birthday candles with the help of Hallie girl.
Or what I may saying they were not even lit.
Again she has a fear of fire.

Happy birthday sweet girl, you are such a joy to our family!
