Pregnancy Update 30 weeks

Oh 30 weeks.
The point in pregnancy where it feels like you have been pregnant forever and yet still have so long to go.
I know in the scheme of things I am really in the home stretch now, we are talking ten most likely eight or nine weeks to go.
I have never gone past 38 weeks with any of my babies......so I am really shooting for an end of October baby.
But man you wonder how much bigger you can really get.
Though we were watching home videos on Sunday night -- early April 2010 to be exact.
Easter Sunday April 4th, two days before little K was born.
I seriously went to bed and cried, I was huge, huge!
Oh just knowing that is coming my way is really quite something (depressing), but then thankfully watching K's birth made me chirp right up and remember it's so worth it!

We have basically done nothing as far as getting ready for this girl to come.
But really what exactly is there to do.
It's my fourth child and my second girl what is there really to buy?
We actually did need a new crib, our old one made it through three kids but completely busted on Katelynn.
It was unrepairable, so a few weeks ago we headed to Down East the same place we scored such a great deal on Katelynn's bed hoping for another round of good luck on a crib.
Oh we got one.
It's Pottery Barn as well, originally  $800.00 marked down to $275.00.
Just a few minor dings on the back of the crib which nobody will see anyway and it is good as new.
In the exact shade of creamy white as K's bed it will go perfectly in the girls shared bedroom.
So crib....check!

Had the yucky glucose test two weeks ago.
I guess I passed, never heard anything.
Is it weird to say I was kind of hoping I didn't pass maybe a little incentive to quit eating sweets all the time would help that naughty scale out some.
Or I just need more willpower one of the two.
But let's face it at this point it's just so hard to care.
If somebody offers me a cookie you can bet I take it.

Oh I lie I did buy the girl a few new sleepers too this last week.
I was supposed to be out back to school shopping for the boys instead I came home with stuff for the girls.
I have a feeling this won't be the last time that happens!

If you follow me on instagram you probably know we have a name picked out for this little sweetheart.
Caroline Ann Smith.
We have loved this name for years and knew if we had another daughter she would be named Caroline Ann Smith.....pronounced line not lynn. I am passionate about that.  Eric has two ancestors one named Caroline Ann and the other Annie Caroline.  My grandmother is named Carol Ann and my sweet mommy who we are really naming her after has the middle name Ann.  She has a lot of special women to look up to.  And most importantly Eric and I just adore the name Caroline.
So there you go Caroline Ann Smith.

And now for your viewing pleasure......week by week of watching the belly grow.
I left you at week 19 on my last update so here we go from there.

20 weeks!  Half way there!

21 weeks and headed to the pool!

22 weeks!

23 weeks!

24 weeks!

25 weeks!

26 weeks!

27 weeks!  Lance's baptism day.

28 weeks and time to retire that shirt:)

29 weeks!

And 30 weeks, oh yikes I almost can't bring myself to continue on with this project.
I think it's hard to get a good picture now I can only imagine what the coming weeks will bring.
Seriously this last picture in blue I probably took twenty rounds of trying different angles to make myself appear slimmer.
Finally I just had to give up say it is what it is, this is what you look like!

Bud in all honestly I am always so grateful and moved to tears to make it past week 28 when my little Loubird was born.  Every day past is a miracle and a blessing that this little girl stays put and just continues on getting bigger and stronger.
I have been so blessed with this pregnancy and we are getting so excited to welcome our little caboose into our family.
Ten weeks to go, I can do it!

The rest of summer.....

Oh these pictures make me a little melancholy to look at.
Typically I am so ready for Fall and a more structured routine but I don't know this year was hard to step back into a schedule.
Summer just has the most amazing carefree go with the flow feeling and maybe just the fact that soon we will be adding a baby to the mix scares me a little.
Okay a lot.
During the school year I feel like if I am not on top of my game every waking second of every day then the pieces start to fall apart leaving a big mess of a day.
I am struggling keeping up with three growing active kids, a baby terrifies me.
Definitely getting anxious to meet this little girl and have her here with us but scared at the same time if you know what I mean.
Just wondering how mommy will survive four of these little ones.
Anywho school is here and those pictures are coming but first let's finish up summer!

Our once a year Lagoon Day was great as always.
It's a place I can only handle once a year but that one day is truly fantastic seeing the kids faces light up.
I know it's crowded and hot and overpriced and germy but I just don't care.
It's worth it.
For moments like these....

This picture makes me smile lots.
Loubird is our dare devil.
He saw this giant roller coaster and he relentlessly begged and begged and begged some more to ride it for the first time.
Now I happen to love roller coasters and don't get one ounce sick.....but baby on board so I can't ride.
Eric likes them alright, but has been known to get sick a time or two.
However he is a good dad and gave in to Luke's begging and off they went to get in line.
Lance politely declined, it was much too big and scary for him.
So we sat and waited for our roller coasting boys to return to us.
Sweet Lance was so worried about Luke he would not relax and paced along beside me his eyes kept glancing to the ride. Every few minutes asking "mom do you think Luke is alright."
Apparently Luke is not only a thrill seeker but he's a front row thrill seeker he went beelining to the front of that coaster sitting right smack in the first row.
Eric said his face was kind of in shock the whole time especially as the first upside down loop was made and as it came to a stop he said "that was awesome".
They made it back down to Lance and I but Luke was being a little on the quiet side.
When I asked him what he thought he snuggled on into me and said "well it was awesome but maybe a little scary, I better wait until I am seven to ride it again."
Oh goodness I love that sweet boy.

Great day at Lagoon!

Oh this boys baptism was up next.
What a marvelous day it was.
My heart wanted to burst seeing Lance and his daddy all dressed in white ready to enter the waters of baptism.
So special.

A family picture before we headed to the church house.

Not many pictures from the day because of course you can't take any during the actual baptism.
But I did manage a few before we left.
Afterwards we had our family over for a luncheon and I was busy playing hostess to get any pictures.
I am so glad I was able to get our little photo shoot a few weeks ago of him in his suit with scriptures and his CTR ring.
And jot down most of my thoughts to him on that day in his letter.
Made me feel a little less guilty for not getting too many on the actual day.
But it was special and treasured and we loved every second of it.

Had to snap this picture of my three in their Korean shirts brought back by Eric from his trip earlier in the summer.

I posted a few from our visit to the county fair in this month's ten on ten but there was a few more I wanted to include from that night.

George was apparently in a posing mood that night!

And last but not least the Saturday before school started we had one more thing on our Summer Bucket List that we had yet to accomplish -- a night at the ballpark.
Complete with hot dogs, Cracker Jacks and Take Me Out to the Ballgame.
We made it through all nine innings and the kids loved every second.

It was a great summer.....

Pioneer Day Weekend

We always hit the Hyde Park Days the Saturday before the 24th with our dear old Granny O.
Hyde Park is just about one of my most favorite places, small town feel, gorgeous part of the state of Utah and our dear old Gran lives there!  The parade is perfect Granny always heads out the night before to stake us out a perfect spot to watch the parade so we just get to show up right as it is starting and we are guaranteed a good show.

She's thrilled with her candy collecting abilities....

Oh this picture...I love these two....love those sweet profiles sharing in a secret brothers joke.

The marching bands get this kid every time.
And I don't know why but it always makes me a little teary eyed at the realization that he can hear them and loves them.
Especially this year it meant a lot, we have had some stuff going on with this little guy that has had me worried and on edge most of the summer....I can't really explain why but this moment just meant a lot to me.

Headed to the games, the bounce house and lunch put on by Lee's Marketplace.
Just another reason to love Hyde Park....Lee's is the best.

A good way to start out the 24th celebrations!

On actual Pioneer Day we really kind of took it easy most of the day.
We got jipped out of celebrating the 4th as a family this year with Eric in Korea.
So we kind of just wanted to take the day and enjoy being with each other as a little family.
We made waffles with whip cream and fresh summer peaches.
We ordered Lance's baptism Shutterfly book.
The kids and Eric played outside while I made a dessert to take to our BBQ later on in the evening.
It was really just an enjoyable lazy easy going day, one that we very much needed.

Headed to Grandma and Grandpa Smith's for a BBQ with our family.

My cute mother in law is the best.
She came up with a few Pioneer games for the kids to play after dinner while we waited for it to get dark enough to light some fireworks.
The wheelbarrow races were the favorite.

And good old Grandpa took care of helping the little ones get a win in a time or two!

Then Grandma had a few Pioneer stories and songs to tell the kids about.
I love her so much, so grateful for the effort she puts into teaching her kids and grand kids the gospel and remind us of the reason we celebrate certain things.
It was so special I thought.

And boys will be boys.
Basketball was played.
Baseball was played.
And fireworks happened.

It was a good day.
