Instagram Update
A look at life through Instagram the last few weeks:
My dream house out in the middle of Paradise.
What a place to wake up to each morning....beautiful.
Ice Age as a family, wish us luck with first time movie goer K!
(She did great!)
Just sleeping in the car...with a Kitty.
Not only does my hairstylist do a great job, but she also buys me donuts!
Thanks Ash!
He wanted to watch "Dogmations" or otherwise known as 101 Dalmatians.
And send some cavity free thoughts our way!
No cavities for either boy!
So let's dirty those teeth up....great day at the dentist!
"Mom look at my blue hearing aids...that's awesome!"
Man I hope he always thinks they are awesome.
Her job is dusting.....slacker.
I think it's time for spooky soap, don't you?
Love that my seven year old still snuggles with his teddy.
"Look mom it's baby Lancey".
She was right it was a 1 year old picture of Lance.
Boys home from the big game.....Aggie's won!
Morning Goldilocks.....
"Uncle Greggy is my hero".
I can't think of a better hero Lance!
Watching Minnie in her Minnie dress.
Mexican tonight....citrus pepper jack chicken, re fried black beans, Mexican rice casserole and fresh tortillas.
So very good!
Okay someone found a pen...
Ahh....welcome back fall television..starting with Parenthood.
I have missed you!
Now isn't this something....
We like our pretzel dates.
Stocking up on fall skinnies and wallflowers. You know the essentials.
Fall soccer is much more pleasant temps than spring soccer.
I just spent all morning reading.
I should feel guilty but I have not done that in years....so I don't feel one ounce guilty.
From that......to this.
Mostly to prove to Eric that I did in fact do something other than read today!

August and September
You know lately I actually have been in the mood to blog.
But when pulling pictures off my camera I realized from about mid August to well now I have 16 pictures to show for it.
Oh that's sad.
I have got to give the camera phone a break and pick up the big guy more often.
I really don't like when people only use their camera phones and never a real camera it irritates me for some reason.
And now I am totally one of those people.
Not acceptable, I am going to put rules on the phone from now on.....in an effort to be a better documenter.
So well here's a few measly pictures from the last few weeks....
Homework going on in full force.
Little K occupies herself during homework time with creating masterpiece artworks.
Seriously this girl is good.
She's been a little lost as of late without her brothers around to keep her company.
Poor little thing she wanders around the house all day saying "my boys, my boys."
And I love that she calls them her boys.
But really they do so much for her of course she is a little disheartened without them around.
I mean who will blow up her floaty tube, not her mom that's for sure.
Oh you know just a snack of squeaky cheese courtesy of Granny who can never comes to our house without bringing us a bag or two of squeaky cheese.
These kids can navigate electronics far too easily.
Another thing we have had to set some ground rules on how often they can be used.
BUT....this picture does make me smile.
These two are such buddies lately it's quite cute considering the three year age difference.
But they also get in some pretty good knock down drag out fights too.....and don't worry K stands her own.
Before summer ended we had to put the ice cream maker to good use.
We only used it once this entire summer....WHY!!
So sad...at least it was a good one to end with or start with, black raspberry chocolate chunk.
Every few months when one of my boys is having trouble getting to sleep at night we have a spontaneous mommy date.
Basically it involves me and the little guy going down to the kitchen, mixing up some chocolate milk maybe some cereal or a piece of toast. Read a story or two, chat about their days, and then head back to bed tired and happy.
I love this tradition.
It makes my kids so happy.
My mom did this with me as a child and it is something I always remember.
The quiet of the night, the glow of the lamps, chatting the night away with my moms undivided attention...it's really so sweet.
I hope it's something they always remember as well.
I love to listen to Lance read.
He is good, already reading two levels ahead.
I love this because it reminds me so much of me when I was a kid.
My nose always in a book.
He flies through chapter books like crazy and always wants to have a stock collection in his nightstand to choose from.
Lately we have been reading a few of my childhood favorites, Superfudge and Mrs. Piggle Wiggle and up next on our list HARRY POTTER...I can't wait.
Probably just the first few for now since you know they are a little dark in the later books.
But I can't wait to share them with him, I have a feeling he will love them.
Oh back to school pictures it was just a month ago.
But here he is at the start of 2nd grade.
He is loving it a month in, loves his teacher, loves his friends, and loves math....go figure.
The house is decorated in pumpkins....maybe one of these days I will snap a few pictures so you can actually see the fall decor.
But for now this is all I got.
Luke has a tricky schedule this year.
With Sound Beginnings in the morning and Kinder in the afternoon and a twenty minute commute between the two....makes lunch time a little tricky.
I pick him up at 11:20 and Kinder starts at 11:45.
I pack him a lunch and he eats in the car on the way to Kindergarten.
And that usually gives us five extra minutes to chat about his morning, play a quick game of I spy and off he goes to his next class.
It's hectic but I love having that extra half an hour a day with him.
Fall has been glorious so far this year.
We have had so many crisp clear beautiful mornings, warm sunny afternoons, and breezy evenings.
It's been heaven.
Even the few rainy days we have had have been appreciated.
Those are the days an extra hot chocolate or two is in order.
A warm soup on the stove and of course some play time in the rain...in her sandals and all.
Which reminds me I need to finish the closet clean outs and get the warmer clothes out and ready.
Sweet girl I love her.
Eric has three late nights this semester.
It's rough...he misses dinner a lot.
But the one plus to that equation is when daddy is gone for dinner we get to have breakfast.
Eric hates breakfast for dinner, I love it, the kids love it.
We have eaten more pancakes, waffles and french toast the last few weeks and we are all loving it.
Buttermilk waffles topped with fresh Brigham peaches and cream.....yes I'll take it!
That's life lately.....or at least the part I thought to take pictures of!

Like father like son....
If you know my husband well you know he has a stubborn streak in him a mile long.
You would also know it can be a little tricky to disagree with him.
And as a child and particularly a teenager he got in quite a few disagreements with his parents......ahem...his dad.
When this would happen teenage Eric would go sulk in his bedroom in the basement, plug in his amp and go crazy on his guitar...probably driving the entire house hold crazy with the music blaring through the walls.
Even now adult Eric has that same tendency.
I can always tell when he has had a bad day, or is trying to relieve some stress.
To the office he goes, plugs in his amp and strums away on his guitar....the only difference? Headphones so as not to wake the kids.
A few weeks ago Lance went sulking off to his bedroom over some injustice he felt his dad was giving him. You know moping over some tiny detail in his seven year old little life.....
After about a half an hour we hadn't heard from him yet and I assumed he was still up in his room sulking the day away.
You know moms just can't leave things be so up I went to comfort him.
And my heart melted at what I found......
Oh my little man you are your father's son.
I couldn't be more proud of that little fact.
Because along with the stubborn streak, it also comes along with integrity, hard work, devotion, humor and a fierce love for his family.
Keep following in his footsteps....they are mighty good ones to be in.

Instagram Update
Phone pics from the last few weeks!
Childhood......
Such a good girl..always letting her momma try new hairstyles on her!
The County Fair!
Just me and her now....and Doc McStuffins.
It's killing him waiting in pickup for Lance. He wants Kindergarten to start now!
Dylan's for dinner with mom, Dean, Tam, Steve, Jill, Kyle and kids!
It's just never too late for a Pepsi!
Early morning tent risers...at least they were good sleepers.
A nice day for a picnic.....
Kindergarten open house today.
Doing a trial run in our jammies for Kindergarten pick up. I want to make sure Lou knows how to find the car. Man I am excited for this little guy!
Someones been jumping on the bed, even though she knows that's a big NO!
So proud....I love when they do kind deeds for the sake of being kind. So proud Lance!
Watching soccer practice from the car.....how is it already Fall soccer?
We are headed somewhere special!
Please tell me something sunk in during the open house for the Brigham City temple. This picture adequately describes their behavior today.
He told me he wanted to be a big kid today and just be dropped off. What!! My boys are complete opposites, the second grader still prefers to be walked in, the Kindergartener is good to go after three days. These boys I love them!
Little neighbor friend asked if K could come out and play. "What's your name again?" she asks. K tells her "Kate win mith". Cute.
