Fall Fun

I am giving myself 15 minutes to type this post up, let's see how I do and if it makes sense at the end!
It's Halloween today, and I am set to be induced for baby Caroline tomorrow so in my mad dash yesterday to make sure everything was ready and good to go for the exciting weekend ahead I downloaded the meager October pictures from my camera.
Here is what I came up with....

A little joy school class picture.
Love these kids, love that K is getting to be involved in it this year.
Love the bonding time it brings me and her when it's our turn to teach.
The two little guys on each end moved away a few weeks ago so we wanted to hurry and snap a picture of the original group.
Now we have two more little additions in their place and we will have to grab a picture of them as well before years end.

Pinewood Derby!
He was so excited for this event.
Him and Eric worked so hard on that car devoting lots of hours out in the garage making it look perfect and giving it just enough weight to have a chance at winning!
Their dedication payed off, Lance's car came in second and he won "best detail" award.
Truth be told he was a little disappointed he didn't take first.
That's his father coming out in him, they both have a fierce competitive drive in them.

A preview of Halloween costumes this year.
The boys had a Halloween piano recital last Friday followed by a carnival up at Utah State were they take lessons.
Harry Potter did a great job.

As did our firefighter.....

Our little Korean princess had a Halloween dance recital.
Which was about the cutest thing ever.
Gosh I love having a girl to experience the things I experienced as a child with.

And my favorite part was watching my boys watch their sister.
They both had this amazed little smirk on their face the whole time she was performing.
Dance recitals are foreign to them and the looks they had were something along the lines of I can't believe I am sitting here watching a bunch of little girls dance.  But at the same time the pride on their faces for little K was enough to melt my heart.
She came running over to them at the end and I thought my heart might burst watching them pat her head, give her loves and say "wow K that was really good."
Siblings are the best, especially when they show their love for each other.

We also had our ward Fall Festival last weekend.
Chili cook off, and lots of carnival games for the kids.
I really didn't get any pictures but this last one I snapped as we got home and the kids were going to get in the shower.
They had face painting you see.
And when Luke was asked what he would like on his face instead of choosing something from her list like the other kids he dived into a very long detailed description of wanting an oxygen mask over his mouth like fire fighters have.
"You know it's a mask that goes over your mouth that firefighters breathe into and then they can be safe and fight the fires and not die in them."
Watching this sweet lady in my ward look mildly alarmed and then proceed to do her best to please my six year old was the highlight of my evening.
Gosh I love that little thinker of mine.

Which brings us up to date with this current Monday FHE, carving pumpkins.
We have Harry Potter, a cat, and Hello Kitty, and George grabbed himself a pumpkin as well.
Much to Luke and K's dismay we did not carve it though:)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Pregnancy Update 38 weeks!

I wanted to get a post up before this little baby makes her debut into our family.
The fact that I have not posted in two weeks is no coincidence.
I have lost all energy for even the most simplest of tasks.
On one hand I want to nest like crazy and then I start and am exhausted five minutes into the project.
I want to update and snap pictures of our little family as we wait for our sweet girl to come.
But can't seem to find the energy to pull out the camera, let alone blog.
So while this update is coming to you from camera phone pictures only, I resolve to do better in the future.
Starting with the birth of our baby any day now.
I miss my big DSLR.......oh and it didn't help that a few weeks ago I dropped my favorite lens and well .......it broke.
The replacement should be here Friday so stay put until then baby, I can't document without my favorite lens!

Like I said nesting has been happening but I think even that phase has phased out.
We are ready and waiting on this girl!

Grandma Tereasa was here today cleaning my house for me because well she's amazing and I can barely waddle from room to room let alone clean deeply how I would like to.
Thanks mom, little babe this weekend would be good while the house is still clean!
Come baby come!

Clothes have been sorted, blankets washed, crib is up.

We made room for one more princess in K's room.
Now it's all set for two little sweethearts to share.

My belly grows bigger and bigger and my feet wider and wider.
So thankful for the amazing Fall weather we have had this year that has allowed me to wear flip flops every day and not freeze my butt off.
These are the only shoes that fit my swollen feet anymore.

Baby stuff keeps arriving at my doorstep making me more and more excited by the minute.

Of course by now we are down to weekly appointments followed by donut stops.....you know just trying to give that scale a workout.
Besides gotta squeeze in silly dates when you can!
Who knows when they will happen again.

I will miss her hiccups each night.......

Heck even the Grandparents are ready for their newest granddaughter.
I laughed when over at Eric's parents house a few weeks ago I noticed my sweet mother in law had a frame all ready to go for little Caroline.

And of course week by week we watch the belly grow.....

A few nights ago I was having a moment.
Oh who am I kidding I am having a moment every night lately.
My back is killing me, I get ligament pains like no other, my leg keeps giving out thanks to the sciatic nerve, my feet are so swollen and sore, heartburn and acid reflex and my newest development my entire right hand is completely numb....pregnancy carpel tunnel.
I am just so darn miserable like any woman is at 9 months pregnant.
After a particularly excruciating night moving from my bed to the couch to the lazy boy just trying desperately to find a place I might be comfortable and get some sleep for the night I had such a moment of sadness.

How do you go from one minute being so miserable and so ready to be done, to feeling so much sadness that my time is almost up?  This is most likely the last time I will ever carry a little life inside me and not just any life but our child's life.  Each kick and hiccup is a constant reminder of how amazing it is to be the force behind bringing one of God's children into this world.  I know years from now I won't remember my pregnancy misery I will remember and miss the miracle of life.

Trying my best to savor each and every remaining moment of waiting to meet our daughter.

But baby girl, we are so ready for you!

September Instagram

Update of September through my phone....

A little McDonald's picnic while we wait for the boys.

Saturday morning play feels extra sweet after a busy first week of school!

Such a great day today at this boys baptism.  I was so grateful to give the talk today and be a part of the program for my Carsy boy!

Sometimes it's nice having someone else around to read her princess stories.

Kangaroo zoo on this rainy Labor Day!

A boy and his uncle got a hold of my phone.

Joy school at our house today.....I think we are gonna love this!

It's so hot out!

We got our hair done today!

Morning at the Brigham City Temple.

I overdid it this week, and now I have a yucky cold coming on.  I have a date on the couch with this boy while he reads Narnia to us.

"Hump day" somebody in our family is obsessed with this commercial.

Family history we are doing it, our family history!

I remember thinking when I would be putting up my Fall stuff it would mean a baby was almost here.
Feels a little surreal thinking how close it's getting!

Love this boy during church......he loves to feel the baby kick and squirm..  He sits so still and quiet waiting for it.

School picture day!

Rough life K!

Piano recital tonight..... I couldn't be there so I am so glad their daddy took videos of it for me.
They both did great!

Kneader's lunch date!

Nothing better than cleaning to the sounds of laughter.

Bought a new bed, the set up ended in stitches.....poor guy!

Pinewood Derby planning....

Me and my girls....

What any awesome big brother would do when his sister falls asleep on the couch....wrap her in a blanket.

Thankful for the way they all just enjoy each other's company.

Wildcats!

Pretty sure there is nothing cuter than seeing Lance help Luke with a tricky piano piece.

Derby car building!

Primary Program today, they did great!
