A little of this, a little of that.....
A few random moments over the last few weeks...
He is currently reading the third Harry Potter book, 1 and 2 he flew through.
Eric and I take turns reading books to the kids each night.
Well basically he reads them except the nights he works late, then I take over.
Lance will let me read Harry with him when I get the turn to read with the boys.
It's fun because I have been wanting to reread them anyway, but just have not found the time for it yet.
So it's super fun getting to relive them all with Lance, only problem is where I end off is never were we pick back up again. He doesn't wait for me and just continues reading on his own. Oh well a chapter here and there is all I really need anyway!
The other morning he woke up and told Eric "dad last night I stayed up really late and read a whole magic tree house book in one night."
Oh he is my sun for sure!
I can't even count the number of times I sacrificed sleep for a good book.
Continue on Lance, I adore your love of reading.
So I have been dying to go to Trader Joe's every since it opened in Salt Lake City last fall.
Only thing is we are quite a distance from SLC, so that drive only happens once every few months.
A few weeks ago we happened to be going out to dinner over my birthday weekend in Salt Lake right down the street from Trader Joe's.
No brainer obviously we were headed there afterwards, even if we were stuffed so full from dinner and nothing really sounded good. Didn't stop us from coming home with a few bagfuls of treats.
Next time I am bringing a cooler of ice so I can try out some of the frozen and refrigerated products as well.
Hands down my favorite purchase was this Coconut Body Butter.
It has transformed my dry brittle Utah winter hands.
I am stocking up on this stuff next time we head down there.
Basketball has been going on for a few weeks for Lance now.
In fact his last game is this Saturday.
And I think we are all pretty heart broken.
Basketball is Lance's sport and passion for sure.
Like he is actually good, gets at least a few baskets each game, so many steals and is awesome at defense.
It has been so fun seeing him really do well at the sport he loves.
And oh how we love our Utah Jazz!
Lego mania is always going on in this house.
Why do I get the feeling this craze will be going on for years and years.
I am so tired of seeing tiny little Lego pieces all over the house; in pockets, in the car cup holders, in the toothbrush holder, or my personal favorite all over the floor for me to step on.
Man those little pieces hurt to step on!
Oh you know just talking to her Granny about when she might be coming over to play.
A few days before Valentines we had our annual cousin Valentine party at Teri's house.
We played Bingo.
Made Rice Krispy Valentines for the loves of our lives.
Exchanged Valentines.....oh melt my heart Carson and Lance best friends, don't forget this.
Love those two boys.
February has been a good one!
(maybe tomorrow I will get around to posting about Valentines, right now I am about to go take a nice warm bubble bath, it's been a long day:)

Instagram Update
An update via instagram....
Early morning reading of "That's not my fairy", we love this book!
Washed and styled my hair for our ten year anniversary, that's a big deal for me to take time to do my hair!
We said no gifts.
So I get him nothing.
And he gives me....
....roses..
...a tea kettle....
and a diamond necklace.
Freezing rain in Utah, I remember that in KY but not in UT.
Thankfully besides carpooling kids I have spent my day indoors playing princess and getting warm soup going for dinner.
These three were so good for me on my big 30th birthday!
Good morning.....she slept until 9.
Very unKatelynn like.
Highlight of her day is when the boys get home.
Smooching the little miss.
Cutest thing in the world watching Luke do his show and tell.
Funny how the little things make you so proud!
Two of my boys are headed to the Jazz game!
Wet hair wearing her snowflake shirt.
He's in the zone, unable to answer questions, hasn't moved in an hour, keeps telling me just one more chapter.
I've never been more jealous....not a greater place to be than the reading zone.
Visiting Great Grandma James....such a sweetheart.
Grandma is keeping the kids entertained during the Superbowl with Bingo.
Oh sigh I hate saying goodbye to a good book.....they become your friends.
Working on class Valentine's.....
There are times when I get sad my kids are getting older. But mostly the older they get the funner it gets. Lance thanks for the awesome game, running errands and lunch....my heart is happy from spending the morning with you.
Story time with her sick brother.
Poor papa Deano had a total knee replacement, we came to bring him some cheer.
A cute friend gave me some birthday earrings, loved them!
K and Granny learn the wii!
Elle Bell teaching K that princesses hold their dresses out when they walk.
Back soon with a non instagram update!

These Two....
I always thought with Lance and Luke being only 18 months apart and both being boys that the two of them would always have a closer relationship with each other than with little K. After all she is a little girl and almost 3 and a half years younger than Luke and five years younger than Lance.
However I must say as of right now that is really just not the case.
I feel so blessed that all three of my kids truly enjoy one another's company.
We have fights for sure but for the most part they all get along really well.
The boys especially dote on their little sister like nobodies business.
Man that girl gets away with a lot around here.
Everybody hates seeing little K cry.
But as of recently quite the companionship has formed between these two little ones.
Lance at almost 8 has outgrown quite a few of the "little kid" games and imaginary playing that Luke and Katelynn still so thoroughly enjoy.
Most days around here you will find Lance quietly doing his own thing whether it be Lego's, or drawing or his nose in a book (man that kid loves to read).
And instead Luke and Katelynn have a buddy buddy friendship going on all the time.
They act out Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
They read stories to each other.
They sit quietly side by side playing a few games on the leap pads.
They play kitty and princess and even my little pony.
Her bed is a favorite hangout.
Friday mornings Luke doesn't have Sound Beginnings, just Kindergarten in the afternoons.
It's our one day a week to take it easy and lounge around in pajamas for a little while in the mornings.
Often times after Lance has gone to school already I find these two curled up in bed with a serious case of the giggles over some imaginary game they are playing.
And while I know all too soon it will hit Luke that he is growing up and suddenly what interests Lance will interest him as well.....I treasure the relationship that has formed with these two.
So many times you will catch Luke throwing an arm around his sister, helping her up when she falls, wiping her tears and speaking to her ever so tenderly.
He's an awesome big brother.
That little K is one lucky girl.
Because how often do brothers play the roll of your prince and dance and dance the night away?
They have the roll of Cinderella and her glass slipper down perfectly (in a Tangled gown of course.)
Look close do you see him slipping that slipper onto his sister's foot and declaring his true love to the princess?
Oh these two......cutie pies for sure.
